Have you noticed fleet farm might be the ultimate preppers or eotwawki store? They have been quietly adding a lot of products which show me large portion of their customer base is highly unhappy with the way things are going.

First it was a few milsurps. Then it was ak's and tantals, milsurp clothing and packs etc by the ton.

Some body in their purchasing dept seems to be rather sharp

Well...I'm clearly stopping at the flagship store in Brainerd tonight!
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

I wonder if this will effect local AR15 dealers? And how this will effect Magpul. Its good for business but will Magpul be the next UTG products? Once a product becomes easier to obtain prices drop and they cut corners on quality control.

i've also noticed fleet farm getting into the "preparedness" business - i've always liked fleet farm. they have their finger on the pulse of what the market is for the people who patronize thier store. their proces are never wal mart low, but if you;re looking for it, odds are they HAVE it!

i've found lots of sling studs, cheap scopes, ammo cans and ammo there when no one else in town (even gander!) had what i was looking for.

PLUS they're locally owned and headquartered. they get a lot of my spending dollars :D

You have to check their weekly adds. They have really good deals when products go on sale

I was at the Champlin location two weeks ago and was surprised to see that they had Remington factory tube extensions for 870's. Prices were no worse than online retailers.

I need to pay more attention - I was there just this weekend and missed this. I must have been distracted by the AK's ;)

They've had ATI furniture for the Mosin, and some AR stuff as well as the ATI tactical shotgun stocks for a while now, but yesterday when I stopped in, in the place where the ATI stuff usually is, there was a TAPCO display with AR, SKS and AK mags as well as some other Tapco stuff.
