Odds are if you have been shot while hunting, it will be with a large caliber weapon.
You will not have the time to do much of anything about it yourself. The best thing you can do is dial 911 and say "I've been shot" and hope they can get someone there really fast if you are alone. You will in all likelihood be in shock within a minute if not in seconds. Odds are it won't matter how severe the GSW is, you will still go into shock. All the belts, trauma packs, etc. are not going to do you any good. Odds are the bystanders are not going to know what you have or how to use it
The best thing is to hunt/shoot with a buddy (yeah, I know, I don't usually either...) who has some basic first aid skills, and can remain calm while on the phone with 911.
If you want to get all that stuff, go for it, but you are really doing it for someone else, not yourself.
