I saw it on another site and have been following it. There is no way I could stand living in DC.

Interesting article. $125 goes to the only gun broker, $60 dollars to the govt, notaries, fingerprints, required ballistics tests and training classes plus a pile of paperwork. Its no wonder they only register about 250 guns per year. I wonder how much staff is devoted to not registering guns...

I am surprised they dont require bio-metric trigger safeties

i worked in southeast DC for a little over a year and rarely did a week go by that there wasn't a shooting or violent incident within 3 blocks of where i was. i remember one day i left at 3:15 in the afternoon and at 3:30 two groups using a construction site as a buffer for their argument actually got a little more into it than words and one kid opened fire across the site at the other group. he shot one of the other kids, but none of the workers were hurt because they all dove into the ditch.

parts of DC are just a different world and you are not welcome in that world. i have some funny stories from my time down there, but they're a little off color so i won't put them up here. let's just say being the only white person in a 5 mile radius leads to some very funny interactions.

I enjoyed reading her articles on this. It's a very sad state of affairs over there. I can't image navigating that nightmare on the east coast. Horrible.

Ive been following this on Cam & Co. NRA news, listening to the interveiws with her. What a headache, even stopping to buy ammo on the way to the range is illegal unless you make 2 trips or buy at the range.

I've been following this as well. I lived right outside DC for 12 years. Back then, you couldn't even own a handgun in DC limits.
