where to buy

Postby SabaII on Wed Feb 01, 2012 5:20 pm

Looking to make a purchase soon and just came down to the Rochester area. Stopped at the usual gander mountain and a small gun shop here. Any other places close to the area that anyone knows about. I believe the name of the place I stopped was cyote creek. They had a real small handgun selection. Not sure if I wanna drive an hour to cabelas just to look for now. I am looking for a full size cz, 92fs or 1911 if that helps. Thanks guys.

You should seriously check out "The Hunters Den" in Albert Lea. Very nice shop with a big selection. Very Nice people too. They have a web site.

Yeah I have been to Ahlmans and I love it there but a bit further then I want to drive. I will have to check out the Hunters Den website. I don't mind driving as long as I know they will have what I want and unfortunately Ahlmans website stinks cause there is no inventory list.

The only gun shop I know of in Albert Lea is "Hart Brothers".

The only "Hunter's Den" I know of is in New Ulm.

Is there another gun shop in Albert Lea I don't know of?

I just saw an ad for Gander and they had some decent looking deals too. Gonna check them out tomorrow. Yeah I looked up Hunters den and got returns for the New Ulm one. I did look at Hart bros website but no for sure inventory listed.

I'm sorry, I did mean Hart bros. Bought a gun there 6 months ago and will say it was worth the drive.

They've always been very helpful when I've called on the phone. IIRC they held a LCP for me in the early days when they were flying off the shelves. I told them I was in the cities and about to get in the car and didn't want to waste a trip.

Hart Brothers in Albert Lea
Fleet Farm in Rochester
Ahlman's in Morristown

Ahlman's isn't known to be cheap, but they're very good and service what they sell. If they don't have it, they can get it, and fast. Hart Brothers can be extremely competitive, and they're very friendly. Their selection is also second to none - it's amazing how many guns they have. Fleet Farm... I'd live there, if I could. My wife would probably disagree, because she'd say I already live there.

Wild Goose Sports and Coyote Creek are very reputable gun dealers in Rochester. I see many more names listed in the Yellow Pages that might be worth a try. You might also try Mark's Guns in Dodge Center - an FFL that works out of his house, and his # should be listed.
