Conceal vs Open

Postby 17Rebel76 on Mon Feb 13, 2012 7:06 pm

1. I'm new, hi!
2. I'm sure this has been brought up before but some fresh discussion is always good.

So, let's get to it.

I'm off the opinion that there is not ONE good reason to open carry EVER. Here's why.
1. Like talking to cops? I don't.
2. Like having those cops point guns at you? I don't.
3. Like ignoring "we hate guns" signs? I do.
4. Want to be the first target in any self defense/hostile situation? I don't.
5. Like being stared at and judged by the general ignorant public? I don't.

These are just my top five.

Agree or disagree.......

SHOOT! (pun 100% intended)

You'll fit in well here.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I will never tell anyone to do one or the other and respect what they do as long as it is legal and all that.....

One reason I don't is that if I was a bad guy, I would shoot whoever had guns first.

Yep, that is one good reason. ;)

As far as concealed or open carry, the intent was for unintentional and not intention open carry. So for me, it is concealed, I prefer to blend in. 8-)

1. Like talking to cops? I personally love chatting with my local LEO's
2. Like having those cops point guns at you? If I am doing nothing wrong, i have never had a gun pointed at me.
3. Like ignoring "we hate guns" signs? I voluntarily boycott establisments that choose to prohibit my 2A rights
4. Want to be the first target in any self defense/hostile situation? Just hafta be a HSLD Operator. Keep your yes on the constant move, and don't forget your 6.
5. Like being stared at and judged by the general ignorant public? I'm stared at and judged because I am a beautiful person anyways. Plus I like extra attention, it makes me feel important.

When I chose to CC the AR, I like the Dirk Diggler option

i carry however i want to carry. i would tell you to do whatever the hell you damn well please. i've carried open, concealed, WELL concealed, and BLATANTLY open. it's like a wardrobe thing: sometimes i wear flipflops and shorts, sometimes i wear a suit and tie. usually, jeans and a t-shirt.
my only holsters are OWB holsters. that doesn't mean i don't conceal. usually i have a flannel or something similarily covering that drapes over my 1911. yes, a full size 1911.
