New S&W 15-22

Joe D. at Bills helped me out and ordered in a Smith-Wesson M&P 15-22 MOE Edition Flat Dark Earth for me. Service at bills was A++! I put about 500 rounds of bulk box blazer brass cased High Velocity last night at the Robbinsdale range, I did not clean the factory grease off before initial shooting and thus in the first 100 rounds Had about 15 FTF errors but the last 400 were near spotless with maybe 2-3 malfunctions most likely caused by dud rounds.

The plan is to duracoat it and get a few new accessories to have a final product that looks roughly like this sans 6 inch barrel SBR and Silencer.

I've been wanting one of these lately. Nice pick up. Can the lowers be used with standard ar15 uppers?

And just curious. Are you worried about the plastic lower possibly breaking, after going through the wait and hassle of SBRing it?

Like I said, all of this SANS SBR and Silencer, that means "Without", and No I dont believe it is possible to use the lower with a standard upper.

The failures with these are usually caused by the magazine not being loaded correctly (at least with mine) Pushing the 22lr's down and then staggering to the opposite side of the last.- I can shoot federal bulk, with no issues being careful loading..
I love the FDE, I really wish these were real ar15s, which will probably be my next ar build with a dedicated 22lr upper.

My painting skills suck, I can't duracoat anything without it looking horrible.. so thats awesome that you are confident with it. I would love to see pictures when you are done..

Oh I cant duracoat for crap but I have a good friend who does it for me aslong as I do the prep work (sanding + Acetoning)

Yeah I sold an M&P 9 pro series to buy this baby, I honestly just love being able to blow off rounds without having to worry constantly about how much $$$ im spending on ammo!

I found a company that makes a supressor specifically for this gun. Just sayin.....
