Gun Bluing

Postby engnerdan on Tue Feb 28, 2012 12:45 pm

Is there anybody in the Twin Cities area that does complete gun bluing? I hit up google already and found Rogers Gunsmithing and sent an email. But that was the only thing I found with a quick search.

Keeler's Gunsmithing in Becker does various grades of hot blueing. Thought I saw a good review on one of the boards I frequent. YMMV

I was just going to say Keeler's as well. I have had some work done up there and talked to him about park and paint on a 870 I have as well.

Keeler's website looks like a 6th grader designed it. I hope their actual work is a lot better. How does their work compare to Ahlmans? I've got an old marlin I want refinished and a few holes plugged up that someone drilled and tapped. Is it worth the drive to Ahlman's or is Keeler's equivalent in quality?
