Father I have sinned...

Postby someone1980 on Fri Mar 02, 2012 10:26 pm

It has been three years since I have been to an action pistol match. I have only practiced maybe every six months... at best.

I knew you were going to say that, so I started practicing my draw again for the last week, and am taking a friend to a match this weekend who has never been. We are going to go slow and safe and have a blast. And about getting that permit to carry in my new home state, that will get done.

Yes sir. I will follow the range officers commands and will be diligent about putting two to the chest and one to the head.

Have a good weekend guys!

Ben

it's ok, my son, i forgive you
saying that guns kill people is like saying that spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

You are forgiven my son. Repeat Charlton Heston's comment on gun ownership three times, say 2 Hail Marys, and RTFM one more time!!!

Good to see a couple of the old timers around!

The match went great!

On the first stage the SO asks if the shooter is ready I say yes and my brain goes blank other than producing the thought that I should have actually said no. The is a couple of seconds which are kind of a blur and I was done. The rest of the stages whet much better.

As for the friend that came along, he just joined IDPA for a year and is asking all sorts of questions about how to get better. Minds are changed one at a time.
