Shooting for how long??

Postby LarryFlew on Sat May 19, 2012 4:14 pm

Curious how long people have been shooting. Rifle and shotgun since teenager including competitions. Pistol, not until i was over 60 (64 now).

39 years if you count when I first started. Although during those 39 years, there was a 30 year drought where I didn't shoot. I started shooting again 14 months ago. Round count in those 14 months is 18.5k. I'm making up for lost time :D

I got my first .22 rifle and 20 gauge shotgun in 1948. I had my Red Ryder BB gun a few years earlier.

That adds up to 64 years of shooting.

My first shotgun was on my 11th birthday, 46 years ago. My first shot I don't remember, but way before that and never stopped shooting.

I started with my dad's Crossman 760 (which now resides in my cabinet on long term loan, thanks Pop) at 10 years old. That puts me at 29 years, 20 for firearms though.
