Not sure if any of you listen to Joe Soucheray on his radio show Garage Logic on AM 1500, Well to day he suggested that bullets cost $10 each to make it too expensive so criminals could not afford it but honest folks could. I almost flipped!!!!

I heard that as well. He also suggested regulating quantities of ammo. I was out of cell phone service, or I might have called and explained what that might mean to someone who shot a few hundred rounds a week.
His assumption was that while you cannot get the gang-bangers' guns, expensive ammo would put them out of business.

Firearms and shooting are like many of the topics Joe is ignorant of; he has no common sense ability to relate to that which is foreign to him.
Among his other comments today, was his oft repeated support of the 'super-magnent' that would rid the country of guns, as suitable gun-control, because then noone would have a firearm. He also commented he wouldn't loose any sleep if 'assault rifles' were outlawed.
Other than a few issues of self- interest, the guy isn't the conservative he hails himself to be.

yeah, i never liked that guy. he's kind of an asshat, with many listeners. i mean, even Al Franken had a radio show. they'll give one to anybody who has an IQ lower than their pants size

I quit listening to garage logic a few years ago. Can't stand the guy, I used to listen on my way home from work on the hour and a half drive. Sounds like he's talking to keep the liberals happy. I don't want to live in gumption county. Maybe I'll start my own county and have Unicorns and sprinkle fairy dust with my shotgun.

Didn't realize he was that big of an idiot.
He also suggested regulating quantities of ammo.......

Gee, they just wouldn't steal the ammo???

All these stupid, worthless ideas and regulations only effect the honest gun owner, not the criminal!!!

Give the guy a break. He spoke with a random thought out loud and he's ready to be hung. I'm sure he knows what he said was stupid by now.
I can think of many people, Me included that have said something they wish they could retract. Some people even type things here. :o

Nope, can't. I use to listen to him all the time and quit because he seemed to drift to more Reusse like opinions. Although Joe is usually a common sense guy, but this statement makes no sense and I bet he still thinks it is a practical option.

I agree. 10 years ago I was a big fan, as were many. At one point in time the show gained national distinction by being the only radio program following Limbaugh that actually gained listeners when coming on the air after Rush.
With KSTP's decline in programming, picking up the Twins, and then going all sports, they are a shadow of the former empire, and Soucherey's show has descended into radio grab-assery compared to a few years ago.
Proof can be found in the advertisers they draw. Used to be a lot of high end/ high buck sellers of cars, boats, jewelery, docks, etc. Now they got alternately MacDonald's, and whatever diet scam one of the hosts is currently pimping.

I also used to listen to Soucheray on long commute drives. I refuse to listen to him any more. Guys, this goofball has made anti gun statements periodically since way back when.

He has repeatedly gotten his audience to call him back and yell at him, he sort of apologizes and then avoids gun issues for a while, and then his natural inclination pops back up. It seems like any time there is a tragedy involving a gun it comes out on his show that the answer is some sort of "common sense" gun control. He's a gun grabber who otherwise says a lot of stuff most of us find interesting. He is probably more dangerous than most because lots of folks who otherwise tend to agree with us find him "reasonable."

The guy has a first amendment right to say what he wishes, but I am not supporting his show with my time anymore, and haven't for about 5 years.

I've listened for several years. He's NOT a gun rights supporter.

When the format changed, they canned Angie, and cut the show down to 2 hours, I listened less. Now my local affiliate is no longer airing his show at all. It's too bad, because I like to listen to his interviews with Vince Flynn, Lee Child, and the guy that writes about the FL adventurer..
