Marines just put in an order for (wait for it)...... Colt M1911 .45s. 22.5 million dollars. Go figure! :lol:

I'd be amazed if this was to spread across the whole Corps, seeing as the 45acp cartridge is no longer a NATO round.

Does anyone else think that this pistola looks an awful lot like the SIG Sauer 1911 Scorpion? With the rail, tan cerakote, and G10 grips....

No longer "Force Recon" it's just Recon now, They are currently carrying Kimber and have been for awhile now, the rest of the Marines will continue to carry the Beretta M9 until DOD approve of new sidearm, but they are looking into M&P, and Sigs chances are Sig might win if they will install a mechanical safety and the USCG already carries Sig in a 40SW
