Burnville Pistol Range - On Fire?

ETA2: See this post for fundraiser information. Also note that ThunderJohn at Southwest Arms will do transfers for Roger's regular customers with all proceeds going to BPR. See the link above for details.

ETA1: Confirmed

Hey folks,

I haven't been around much but what I just saw prompted me to log in. I live by BPR and one the way home tonight there were about 6 fire trucks and at least 10 squad cards around BPR and dark, nasty smoke belching out the roof.

I could only get so close, so I am only 80% positive that it was BPR that was on fire and not the business next door. Based on what I was smelling and seeing, I'm guessing it's the backstop material that caught on fire. A tracer round perhaps?

They had one big ladder truck to the north so the firefighters could access the roof.

I sure hope the damage is contained and the places opens for business soon. I imagine it was quite a scene when they figured out they had a fire and had to get everyone out of there.

I saw smoke on the way home. 169 crossing the MN river. I commented to my wife somethings on fire. I hope it's not BPR.

Some dumbass with tracers or incendiary rounds?

Assuming it's BPR of course......

Confirmed. Started in the rifle Bay. Lots of water and smoke damage. Reports of the roof getting soft but supposedly it's concrete so they may be talking about the areas around the ventilation.. No known cause yet. It may have started in the ventilation and dropped down.

Burnsville, Savage, and Apple Valley Fire responding. Call came in 90 minutes ago and the smoke still coming out heavy

ETA: The info above came from talking to a cop on site. Take it for what it's worth

As much as i used to here sue and roger gripe about money issues, i trust they were insured enough to continue. Would be a huge shame for the cities to lose their business.
