I LOVE that place... I wish they had longer hours because I can only there there on Saturday since they are close on the weekdays before I get off of work. I bought my bore snakes (2 each for my .45 and .22) and all my extra .22 and .45 magazines there along with some snap caps. I know others have gone there longer, spent more, but Gunstop was the only place in town that had such things.

I REALLY want them to stick around.

Gunstop closing

Postby adoptedson on Tue Aug 21, 2012 8:22 pm

I was there a couple weeks ago browsing. A gentleman named J.J. shared the story with me when I asked if they accepted trades. I've only been there twice but they're prices seem to be inline with the best around town. I'd hate to see this place disappear. J.J. did sound hopeful that there will still be a store there though after this transition.

If they'd accepted trades, I would've walked away with a new 1911. I'm hoping my job stays busy and that 1911 is still there in a couple weeks.

I was in there today and there was a gentleman that was assembling the Barrett as though he may have had purchased it. I wish the place as a whole the best of luck and truly hope the can remain in business as a gun shop.

If you're talking about a base M82A1 $10K is not a steal by any means. This thread should be renamed something like "Gunstop changing ownership (and possibly name)"

Thats what i was told two weeks ago.

John has already re-signed the lease for the building in his name according to the older guy behind the counter. The smaller guy that is actually friendly. Dont know his name but the fact that he is friendly should set him apart :). No offense to the rest, dont mind any of them really.

I already asked to have it put on your van so I could find out where all the good gun shops are. They said they already did.
