OGC

I read the latest newsletter, anyone else think things are changing for the worse? Feels like we're trying to become another Minnetonka sportsmans club.

Not necessary a bad thing, but I don't want OGC to become another South St.Paul rod and gun club. I understand they are about to go belly up.

I guess, I am just missing the old club. Feels like we're becoming more of a business than a club.

as a member............the newsletter just came out .........read it

read the org chart............board is reduced to 5-6 people (from 13-14 IIRC) to represent 1500 +
Safety and security director quit
In house server approved by board to the tune of 2k+ (is it necessary^)
No anti virus on POS machines
Operational procedures changed ( non emergency) mid day during peak hours

As recommended above come to the meetings and listen, ask questions and read between the lines.

as an employee........no comment

When is the annual meeting, and where can I find the announcement for it?
I don't see it in the newsletter, or on the calendars on the web site.
Thanks,

There is a "town hall" meeting on Sunday, 10/28 at 1pm in the classroom w/ the board to discuss the changes. I am planning on being there and have several questions.

Has anyone actually seen the proposed bylaw changes?

Speaking of website and calendar. I was at a board meeting this spring where they decided to spend ?$7K? On an outside ?Drupal? Coder to fix up the website and etc.
I thought the timeline and reason for paying a contractor was weeks. We're months out now.

Well, I'm an idiot and just realized I'm in NRA Shotgun Instructor all day on the 28th. So I won't be there.

I've sent an email to the board secretary asking for copies of the current bylaws and the proposed bylaws changes. The bylaws on the website do not at all appear to be the current bylaws.
