Maybe I am missing something in the article. Why are you boycotting Joe's? Because they reserve the right to ask questions if something doesn't seem right?
Wrap that around your overly muscled left wing and row your dinghy in counterclockwise circles as a result.

You're not the only one missing something. So being asked a couple of questions is a reason for a company to be boycotted? Makes me wonder what would be the recourse if they (Joe's) decided to limit the amount of ammo purchased at a crack.

I look at it this way, there's a lot more and better things to get panties in a bunch about.

The whole premise of the article is if you are buying large quantities of ammunition, you are up to no good. Or, that buying ammunition in bulk is an indicator of illegal activity.

If you're okay with that, that's fine. I am not.

This line from the article is why we are going to.boycott Joe's?

Great store. I'm not sure why you would want to boycott them...

Maya Rao (the reporter) is on Twitter @MRou_Strib, her email is maya.rao@startribune.com

I sent politely worded email and Tweets along the lines of Andrew Rothman's comments...re. How is the amount of ammo relevant?

I can see why you'd be pissed at the author. I'm not sure I see why you're pissed at Joe's.

That's funny, boycott a store for being responsible? If something seems funny they should ask questions. Would you sell a car to someone that was talking about "how cool spx it be to see a car drive through a house"? You might but I'm gonna seriously consider the context an who it is.

I'm still kind of amazed at the comment quoted rom Metro Pawn.... "Are you starting a war?"

Just goes to show, you never know who you're talking to, and how your words will make your business look in the eyes of others.

Assuming, that is, the Start Trib didn't make it up. But I've been in that store enough times to know they didn't. :|

Amazing how it was probably taken out of context too... I'm certain there were smiles and joking laughter...but that part gets omitted for a newspaper article. Instead, it now looks like the retailer supports mass shooters - which WE all know isn't the case...here's hoping that the public sees it for what it was - a joke.
