Metro FFL

Postby sigsauersauce on Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:45 pm

I looked through the archives and couldn't find a good list, so if this is a dup I apoligize!

My buddy is considering buying a gun online and asked me to recommend an FFL. Problem is the guy I use is south of the river where I work and this guy is in DT MPLS and doesn't want to drive 40 minutes to pick up a gun if he doesn't have to. Can anyone clue me in to a good metro FFL in case he decides to buy? Thanks!

GunBroker.com FLL Holders Search

More specifics on a possible location might bring out some suggestions.

It's going to be 20-30 minutes minimum since the City of Minneapolis only allows one gunshop in town and no transfers except at gunshows. Your closest options are going to be Metro Pawn and Gun in Richfield or Frontiersman in St. Louis Park. If you know what he's buying you might be able to find a similar deal at Arnzen, Gunstop or from ThunderJohn and save the transfer fee.

That's my understanding (and would be my advice) as well, but the GunBroker FFL search gives 2 addresses within Mpls; apparently one pawn shop, and one tabletop FFL...
I wonder if that(GunBroker) is out of date information.

Use the search bar up in the corner for "local gun shop directory". There's a list of most of the shops, where they are, and their phone number.

To my understanding, the only gun shop in Minneapolis proper is Koscielski's on Chicago Ave S. Based on the OP's profile, I would venture that the closest options for him would be Metro Pawn and Gun (Richfield) or Atomic Tactical (Bloomington).

Frontiersman. If you live downtown just hop on 394 west to Louisiana. Smooth sailing the whole way & easier than going block by block to any ffl he may fin within city limits.
