Ebay pulling listings?

Postby SpiderPig on Thu Dec 27, 2012 6:17 pm

I posted some mags on eBay to take advantage of some poor, pathetic loser that absolutely must pay way too much for a few AR mags and the listing was pulled. Yet, I see dozens of other listings that stay up. Is there something I'm missing in how I post the item(s) for bid?

Did you title the ad "overpriced mag for poor, pathetic loser"? I can see that being a problem.

Guessing just too many to catch them all. Nothing over 10 rounds is allowed.

I would assume that the listings are being pulled as they are being reported. For what it's worth I started tracking 10 pmag auctions just to see what they were selling for and roughly half of them were deleted before they ended.

I was being facetious given the overamped emotions on the topic. If someone wants to sell a mag and someone is willing to pay a lot for it, good for them.

I believe the trick is to stay under the radar and not be obvious about capacity.

Why would you want to pay fleabay listing and final value fees anyway? GB is far more reasonable.

Thanks for your interest in this listing:

190776287404 - 4 ar 15 mags by parausa 30 rnds 223/ 5.56 new never used

We're sorry to tell you that the item isn't available for purchase anymore. We removed the listing because it likely fell into one of these three categories:

-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words that may have violated copyright or trademark rights.

This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it's an action we have to take to protect you as a buyer.

Important: If you won the item and haven't paid for it yet, you don't need to complete the transaction. If you've already paid for the item, we encourage you to contact the seller to get more information about the transaction. If you don't receive the item, your purchase price plus original shipping may be covered by the eBay resolution process:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/resolving-problems.html

We're sorry for the inconvenience. eBay still has lots of other great deals. Just go to http://www.ebay.com to shop. We hope to see you soon.

Thank you,

eBay

No. I didn't bother to read that page. But, I did get an email and was wondering why some were pulled and others not.

I am curious, as an observer myself. While I am neither trying to buy or sell at this time, a eBay search using the term: " pmag 30" yielded 700+ results 95%+ are mags.
Of equal interest are the number of 'ended auctions' for $00.01 on up, that didn't sell... I suspect these were shut down auctions, as there were many more successfully completed 'pmag 30' sales before the dates of the panic.

If I were to do it, I would only have the number 30 appear in the image, not the searchable text...just sayin
