It's funny looking but I bet it would be a way around banning pistol gripped rifles.

Exactly right, in CA that allows you to have a drop free 30 round mag(you DID have a mag in the state before their ban right?). Since it then doesn't have 2 or more features of an 'assault weapon', it's no longer evil.

Would you want it? Not if you had a choice. It's wonky as hell to shoot it like that. You're hand/trigger finger ends up in a weird position. It tries to mimic the stock of a hunting rifle, but because of the buffer tube your head is too high. I was way glad when I got to put normal stocks back on my AR's when I moved back to MN.

Some of the bullpup guns have a similar grip angle (with equal fugliness IMO) and are surprisingly comfortable to wield.

It took me a while to come around to giving a vertical front grip a try. I still haven't shot with it, but I do have one on a rifle now.

Baaaaarrrffff!!! And that whole turd sandwich hangs off the rifle by the single 1/4" grip screw.

Agreed! Your certainly not going to bang any doors in with that thing! It looks more like some bastardized Mosin part, did someone rip off the design from someone in the bubba build off?
