Wally World and Ammo

Postby XDM45 on Thu Jan 03, 2013 9:38 pm

Well, I took a chance went to the Wally World in Shakopee tonight and found 2 boxes of .45ACP of 50 rounds for $20.00 each. .50 a round? No thanks. I can get it cheaper online. Of course all of the 223 was gone (bummer for those AR-15 owners out there).

6 months ago I bought 100 rounds of Federal .45ACP for $25.00 or .25 a round, which is much more reasonable. I used to get it around .30 to .35 a round, but lately it's been .40 to .45 a round, and .50 is high. I think it's due to the FUD and false start on the panicking some people are doing.

My wife's uncle usually has me pick him up Federal Champion at Walmart on my way to North Dakota (they don't sell it in the Wallys up there for some reason). If I recall, it's usually like $17.99 a box or something?

Certain things deserve a panic, but 45 ACP isn't one of them.

Well, I just like to have a ton of ammo. I could easily afford to buy 25,000 rounds, but I'm married and wife wouldn't go for that. I'm going to have to settle for 2,000, but if I was a single guy? Oh heck yeah...... 50,000 .45ACP and 100,000 .22LR would be my goal.

What your wife doesn't know can't hurt you

Check out SG Ammo. They typically have some of the best prices around.

Two Wally Worlds are out of 22lr. Elk River and Monticello--said they didn't have confirmation on any future shipment.

How much is the red box Federal .45? Thought it was somewhat inexpensive and carried by local Walmarts.

At Shakopee, they didn't have that, only 2 boxes of Remington for $20.00 each.
