For those without audio available the story is about a lady rebuilding her house in New Orleans after Katrina and having it vandalized and looted even now. It took the cops 8 hours to arrive (and that was only after she flagged one down in the street). She believes they are targeting her because she won't stand for the lawlessness and will chase the criminals out of her neighborhood.
Heres the gun related part:
The interviewer says that residents should think about arming themselves with cameras (because she knows who did the crime but can't 'prove' it) and Sharon says this:
"Well you know I'm gonna be honest with you, as Pray-full as I may be I already know I gotta go back with something, God didn't say to go there and be stupid and you know I'm going to be going prayin but I'm going to be packing also. I tell my kids that and they just look at me but my fighting spirt just won't go."
The host then very seriously says, "Now Sharon I'm not going to tell you what to do but you have to be careful about that kind of thing.
She responds
"I know but if everybody runs scared then what?"
I think this is the greatest saying (even if it isn't an exact quote but rather a paraphrase) "God didn't say to go forth and be stupid".
