This is pretty sweet! It's a pistol with a smooth bore. Probably not going to win you any 3-gun competitions, but it will make you the coolest kid on the range.

Has everyone downloaded their gun today?

I read elsewhere this morning chuck schumer wants to outlaw the printing of guns.....???
The printer?
The medium/ material?
The software??
Not sure what exactly he wants to ban, but whatever it is, we'll all be better for it.

I had an argument with a liberal the other day about gun control. His stand was that gun control will not work simply because of 3D printers.... Ive never seen this before.
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.

There are ones that can print metal too, but they're in the thousands of dollars range.

I'd totally get one if I could afford it. Pretty badass to just print out your own firearms for pennies on the dollar in materials.

Looks like a good way to land in prison for an unregistered NFA weapon ;)

Somehow, I can't see myself shelling out $1000 for a 3D printer so I can print out a zip-gun, when I can make myself one out of $5 of plumbing pipe.

You do realize that a zip gun isn't the only thing a 3D printer can print up, right?

You can print out AR-15 lower receivers and fun stuff like that as well.

I hope they don't ban them printers, I'd use it to print out D&D figurines with my face on them...

Isn't it legal to make your own weapon for personal use?

Except that the NFA has no bearing on something that you completely manufacture yourself and keep in your own state.

Where does NFA come in to play here?

Not sure if the NFA comes into play, but they stated specifically that they used metal for a couple of objects to meet some regulations on having enough metal to be detected by metal detectors.

Cosmetic parts, that could probably be easily replaced.
