New Indoor Range Opening

I see in my local paper that Lakes Area Trading Co. is expanding to 1,700 square feet from a cozy 250 square foot shop , adding a indoor shooting facility in Forest Lake

, I'm happy to see Ben being successful! (August 1st)

Lakes Trading is off Hwy 61 in Forest Lake. Ben has a real fine shop there with good selection hand guns and long guns priced reasonably. Ammo is sparse unless that has changed :?:

Is it just me or does the North metro seem more shooter friendly than the South? Where I happen to be :cry:

North metro is the southern edge of 'up north'....I suspect it's due to the number of lakes, and thus the market for many sporting goods stores

Ben's shooting range is connected to the Music Connection midway down Lake Street. This will be a first class range and the area will be lucky to have it.

I run the Pistol Leagues at the FLSC and believe me, its great to have another venue for shooters to shoot in town.
This also is sending a big time message to the anti gunners exactly where the people of Forest Lake stand on guns and the shooting sports.
Along with the regular men shooters, I have women and kids shooting in my leagues and I'm sure that Ben will have the same type of folks shooting at his ranges.

I'm from Chisago lakes area and this is great news for me! Now I don't have to drive all the way to Bill's in Circle Pines if I want to shoot in an indoor range with a good variety of rentals. Hopefully I'll have a main gun to carry by the time it opens so I can just go to Forest Lake for my monthly 100 rounds down range

Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to look around to keep up to date of when it opens
