Lyman Digital Trigger Pull Gauge!!!!

my friend JShuberg loaned me a trigger pull gauge, and i just tested my AK, AR and 1911. i'm QUITE pleased. the results over 5 pull average:
AK47 - 3 lb 13.4 oz average
AR15 - 2 lb 6.1 oz average
1911 - 4lb 2.0 oz average

the AR is running a CMMG trigger, with a trigger job Nathan Seaberg, the gunsmith at Bill's.
the AK is running a factory Tapco trigger, no modifications.
the SIG 1911 is running a factory series 80 trigger, no modifications (except thousands of rounds fired, approximately 4k)

VERY EXTRA GREAT!!!

now i know my equipment is doing what it's supposed to be doing, and i can blame myself for any inaccuracies i might have

Does it go to 18 lbs? I want to measure the average on my LCP :lol:

But the serious question(s):
Was this just for S&G? I've never felt the need to know other than how it feels. Were you at all surprised by the results?

Lol, LCR trigger.... That's funny. Actually, it only goes up to 12 lbs, and as I said, its not even mine

Totally for shiggles, I just wanted to see what a trigger job can do compared to a replacement such as a geissele trigger or such. Then, since I had it, I wanted to check the other nice triggers I've got

My wifes uncle has a Nagant and it has to be well into double digits in DA. One of the hardest triggers I have ever pulled. I was just happy to get it to fire the first time I shot it, I forgot everything about accuracy

Is the Lyman you used a analog pull or digital? I am thinking of buying one

it was a digital, and it was pretty nice. not that i have any basis of comparison, it's the only one i've used

I bet my Sig P6 could max it out. I'd guess the DA pull is around 14-16 pounds.

Or try finding the pull weight on a Polish P64, I've heard the DA pull is something crazy like 25 pounds!

maxing that out wouldn't be hard, i'd venture to say that any revolver with a factory DA trigger would max it out.
