While helping with a hunt for special needs kids we used similar technology. The shotguns themselves (turkey hunting) has scopes mounted on them and iPods with cameras mounted to the scope. This allowed children in wheelchairs or otherwise physically unable to shoulder a firearm to be able to see "through" the scope. It worked out really well. If I can find some pics I will post 'em up.
