New Guns and Gear store coming to Rogers

Postby .45 Auto on Thu Sep 12, 2013 9:33 pm

I noticed a billboard, along I-94 near Albertville, for the Guns and Gear store in Waite Park, that indicates a new store opening this fall in Rogers.

Apparently Cabela's and the GM Firearms Super-store haven't saturated the market? Our maybe it was just that they are cutting too deeply into their Waite Park location's business.

As long as they don't cause the mutual destruction of each other competition is a good thing for the consumer.

Rogers has a large archery store now too. It is really turning into the outdoor sports mecca. Lucky me that I'm close! :D

Now Rogers just needs some additional restaurant offerings in the mid-level class (like Pei Wei, Punch, Mongos, Smashburger, etc.).

I think this is a good thing. The Guys at the Waite Park shop have always provided good service. Looking forward to seeing them closer to the Cities.

As long as you're ok with not field stripping a gun before you buy it... :(

My family has had our business in Rogers for 50 years now, and food in rogers SUCKS. Maynards was OK for about the first 2 weeks it was open, now it's an overpriced redneck bar.

One place with actually decent food in Rogers is Minnie's Diner. But I only want to eat that type of food so often. I'd like some of the others I mentioned to roll into town. Have to give Maynards credit though... even though food isn't the reason to go there they are ALWAYS busy because of the bar.

Only place I have ever stopped to eat in Rogers is the TA truck stop, mainly because I was there to fuel up the truck. Now I stop there if I am in the area because I know what it is. No guessing on price and quality. When G&G opens I will probably stop by again.

Say what you want but the Wendy's in Rogers is the best one I've ever eaten at especially the when compared to the Wendy's in Plymouth.

I like Maynards...I'd label them overall slightly better than OK. Big fan of their Kung pao chicken.

Apparently no one knows. We've moved on to dining, but it appears we've already decided that Wendy's is the pinnacle in Rogers.
