Free .22 ammo

Postby OldmanFCSA on Mon Dec 02, 2013 10:43 am

One free box of 22LR to first ten father/son/mother/daughter teams that contact me and show at my location. Adult/child must both be here and demonstrate safe firearm handling of their own 22 rifle. E-mail copy of your DriversLicense to: OldmanFCSA@aol.com before scheduling a time to show up.

Good thoughts.
I had a boys group from St. Peter's that I would take to the Range shooting several times a summer.
I figured that they would shoot a couple thousand rounds in an afternoon, and I thought nothing of it.
Had many laughs at their fun in just pulling the trigger instead of hitting anything.

The past several years, I have told our Youth Minister to forget about shooting.

Even several weeks ago, when asked about taking some kids to the Range, I said that it was impossible shooting .22s, but we could maybe do some selective shooting using my AKs and my M4 instead with the older kids.
Sad situation, and you hit this one spot on concerning Youth Shooting.

OldmanFCSA was one of the biggest contributors when I asked for donations of 22 ammo for a local Boy Scout Troop.

It's great to see posts like these from people who care very much of the future of responsible gun ownership.

No disrespect meant to Subwofer2 by not mentioning him. He too is a very good man and I'm forever grateful for his service to our country. I just wanted to recognize you specifically for your continued service to our community.

Surprisingly, NO ONE has contacted me on this offer.

Did I presume something wrong?

Is there no interest in teaching another shooter?

Or do we just use this great Forum to complain about lack of 22LR ammo?

Offer stands until December 21st, 2013.

Almost had me right up to that point. Sorry, won't email anyone my DL especially for a box of .22. I won't even let them photocopy it for the Food Protection Act that 'requires chain of custody" documentation.

You sound paranoid about your DL concern, and I did read your PM and delete it.

As explained to everyone visiting, it is used for identification purposes only !!!
I do not sell any info gained by your identification concerns.
IF you have another form of ID with a picture, I would accept it. IF you want to block your DL number, do so.
All I want is a picture, your true name (not your strange username), and your address in case I need to return something. Besides, you need my address to show up here, its only fair that I have yours.

Signed'

My son will be home on the 14th. If I'm out of care home by then, we will graciously accept your offer. Maybe we'll have to shoot them at Masonic Homes ;)

Awesome offer. I am set on 22, I would love to see someone introduce a child to it. If not, I will probably lie and say I am your long lost son so you give me two boxes

Evad, I got in and even scored a Private room for no extra costs. Things are looking good and I am slowly progressing. I am having both Physical (PT) and Occupational (OT) Therapy twice a day. Hip is getting better but muscles are raising a bit of hell. They made my left leg 10mm longer and the muscles are protesting. According to doc my surgery was especially difficult and took nearly 3.5 hrs.

They also are slowing my progress because I have a 50% weight limit on the operated leg, so arms are pretty sore as well. Thank goodness for pain meds, they are allowing me to get out of bed by myself and if not right after PT Ican actually get back in.

This place is EXTREMELY nice and so far, the food is super too. I am very happy here, but am waiting to be able to go home.

Thanks for thinking of me

I would more than happily take you up on your offer but my son is only 4 1/2. Heck, he already has his own .22 rifle that my dad has given him and a Lifetime hunting license :D

Well since he's only 4 I won't allow him to handle a gun yet and I don't think he'd have much fun going with anyways yet. When he's older though I hope he's interested in shooting with his dad.
