▐▐▐ Jericho 941 / Baby eagle 9mm - firing pin malfunction

Postby dessoir on Sun Mar 30, 2014 3:28 pm

Hello,

I have a 9mm Jericho 941, full frame, steel, about 400rnds through it.

Today at the range, I've experience a sad malfunction. The firing pin is not protruding from the back of the slide far enough for the hammer to make contact with it. It doesn't fire. Moving the safety lever back and forth has no effect.

Under operating conditions, when on safe, the firing pin retracts into the slide to prevent hammer from making contact with it. When on fire, it comes out but no longer does that.

Any idea what may have went wrong? How about fixing it?

I intend on contacting MRI regarding warranty tomorrow. Please let that be the first & last time warranty work is mentioned.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Jericho. I wonder if your problem lies in the decocker.

Hope you have good luck. The Jericho is one heck of a gun.

AND if it's a true 941 (9mm and 41 barrels) it's worth a bit to someone and should have been the cartridge that the 40 became.
