It didn't say it wouldn't let me, but it appears that you can only vote once. Every time I try it, the numbers stay the same.

Maybe if I reboot my internet connection, I'll get a new IP address and CNN will let me bite again.

Here's the poll question:

Should children be allowed to learn to shoot guns under adult supervision?

How dumb does someone have to be to even think of that question...

Current numbers - 56% no, 44% yes

:wack:

edited to fix poll results - thanks Thunderjohn...

It's the reverse on the poll.

Another CNN poll.

Note the insidious phrasing of the question as though there is some current prohibition which may be ending.

A more honest phrasing would have been should we prohibit kids from learning to shoot.

Seems reasonable( at least 'reasonable' as possible in this circumstance) that the converse, if that's the correct term, would be:
" Should children be allowed to learn to shoot guns without adult supervision? "

Unless, of course, the goal is ignorant and uneducated youngsters.

RIGGED!!! RIGGED!!!! RIGGED!!!

I voted from the home IP address (and computer) with a Windstream IP address CNN showed 446 "Yes" votes, then voted from the cell-phone with a T-Mo IP address and it showed 446 "Yes" votes... then I voted from the S.O.'s Verizon IP address (her phone), still showed 446 "Yes" votes.... Then logged in remotely to my work computer and voted... still showed 446 "Yes" votes.

I voted yes from 4 devices (4 different MAC addresses) on 4 different IP addresses and the vote totals didn't change.

It seems sort of ironic to complain about a poll being rigged because it won't let the same guy vote 4 times...

The fact that they buried it on the web page of the International edition is all the information I need. The editors at CNN know their poll would fail if they put it on their US site, so bury it where (hopefully) no one can find it. Even then, they barely get a majority supporting their opinion (52-48 right now).

It seems more likely that he noticed the vote count didn't change after voting so he tried from another couple locations to confirm the hypothesis that votes aren't being registered. i.e. The repeat votes were testing, not all intended to add up.

I never vote in polls. They are rigged to go in there favor. CNN is probably the worst at rigging.
