Gander Mountain "sale"

Postby Snakeman721 on Fri Oct 10, 2014 2:15 pm

Ok, so I went to the Gander Mountain in Blaine and in Rogers to check out their "grand opening sale" and maybe scoring an ammo box of 1600 CCI .22 that was in their flyer for $119.99....a decent price considering the hoarding going on. Wellllll, my mistake was going to the Blaine store first. They didn't have any of the advertised product.....EVER! But I got a free $10 gift card and proceded to the Rogers store. Of course, by the time I got there around 10AM, the salesperson said it was all gone, but at least they had some in the first place. Anyway, I scored another $10 gift card and figured I'd buy a box of "Swamp People" CCI .22 mag. Their price was $59.99 for a box of 200. With the $10 gift card, it came down to $49.99. I figure that's not TOO bad a price, buy it and scarf a couple donuts they had at the door on my way out. So I go over to Cabelas since I'm in the neighborhood and, lo and behold, there's the "Swamp People" box of CCI 200 count at a regular price of $44.99!!!! EFF ME!! Now, i RARELY, and I mean RARELY, set foot in a Gander store, but I thought I'd check out the "sale" just this once. They get you with that free gift card......and I still have the first one.

typical goose hill sale - almost down to other peoples every day price. Only desperation gets me into their stores nowadays.

They're good for a chuckle when I'm in Brainerd - aside from FF and Walmart, they're the only game in town. Fortunately FF and Walmart don't play off their cue and I don't have to buy anything there.

I was killing time in Brainerd last week and wandered in to Gander. Winchester white box 9mm 100rd box was 39.99. Across the street at FF it was 24.99.

Went to Forest Lake Gander today and everything was great.
All .22s in stock with not bad prices.
The 1600 ct ammo boxes of .22s come out to $7.50 a box of 100 which beats the regular price of $7.99.
They also had the CCI Blue Box of standard velocity .22s boxes of 50 for $3.99 a box.
All in all, a very good experience.

Sorry to be the only one, but I really have no complaints about our Forest Lake Gander.
As with any store, some prices are higher, and some cheaper than other stores.

If the Wolf's Den doesn't have what I want, I have no problem heading to Gander.

Just returned from the Forest Lake Gander.
Plenty of the 1600 ammo boxes of CCI Mini Mag.

Also Plenty of the CCI Standard Velocity .22, 50 ct. boxes.

Today they increased the limit to 10 boxes per costumer.
