I found these too hard to resist at the Faribault Show today. The rifle is a Western Field (Montgomery Ward) Model M865A 22S - L- LR made by Mossberg. Shot 50 rounds thru the Bersa in a friends back 40, only trouble I had is no ear protection. Hopefully the ringing will go away in a day or so.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for these when I go fishing.

You've just done did some serious hearing damage. :(

It's worth waiting for some muffs/plugs/both. If you hear ringing you've effed your ears up. Hearing damage is cumulative, meaning it doesn't go away over time, it just adds up. Go to Home Depot and buy a bulk pack of AOSafety plugs and keep a pair or two in each car and jacket, just in case you need them. It's what I do.

Ditto on the hearing damage! When I was a young guy, it wasn't "Manly" to use ear protection. We shot .45's, rifles and sub-machine guns in the military and didn't use eye or ear protection. I've stood on deck on my Navy ship while they were firing the 5 inch guns while observing hits on targets. Guess what? Today I'm retired and my ears ring all the time. I even wear electronic ear muffs when I'm hunting so I can save what hearing I have left. Save those ears, every time you shoot without protection you lose a little hearing.
