Please keep the thread, maybe even make a sticky about them. They siphon monies from actual organizations that do the hard work, poison the well of public mindshare with their rhetoric, and harm the relationships groups like the GOCRA and the NRA have with the legislature.

The more we can get the word out that these guys are actually nothing but a scam ran out of Iowa and do absolutely nothing for MN gun owners, the better.

Thanks :)

For those interested in an actual local gun rights group, one who has been working for gun rights in MN for 25+ years, and has a strong track record of success, please checkout GOCRA and MNGOPAC. They are the reason that we currently enjoy the gun rights we do in MN. It's unfortunate, but there are groups out there looking to simply line their pockets with gun owners money by impersonating those who actually do the work.

Here are some of the folks that are doing the good work for us:

Thanks, Jeff, for the kind words about the MN Gun Owners PAC.

For more information about MN Gun Rights - here's a good in-depth expose by Mitch Berg:

Recently this group (MN Gun Rights) requested a table for the Wells Gun Show. They were told there would be a table available for them. The show director did a final count and realized he had oversold the tables allowed per our contract with the School. The director then contacted the last 3 vendors to register (all who registered 4 days before the show) and advised them there had been a mistake and apologized. No money had changed hands, so it was simply a verbal agreement. 2 of the 3 vendors were ok with what happened and understood. The 3rd (Mn Gun Rights) did not and instantly went to their YouTube site and asked their followers to call our director and demand a reason they were uninvited. As of last Thursday no follower's had contacted the director. I did a little research and found the address Mn Gun Rights uses is a mail drop at a UPS store in Bloomington and is also used for a couple of other groups registered with the Secretary of state and connected to the Registered agent of Mn Gun Rights. The Secretary of States website also lists other groups resisted using the same address in Redwood Falls for the registered agent. A public records check showed no criminal history or judgements against them. I just think it was a little odd that the took to the defensive so quick.

That's entirely their MO.

What were the other groups registered using the same address?

Last weekend I had a great conversation with Andrew concerning this group, whilst he manned the COGRA Booth at the Wells Show. Our club supports GOCRA and provides a table for them gratis at the show.

I don't remember seeing Minnesota Gun Rights at the legislature during the recent hearings testifying for the bills. I did see Andrew Rothman and Professor Olson of GOCRA at the table testifying.
