Do you Post Pictures of your gun collection?

Postby carbide on Mon Feb 02, 2015 2:54 am

I searched and did not see any similar threads

How many of you freely post pictures of your entire arsenal or latest firearm purchase online?

How many of you would rather swear you lost them all in that boating accident last summer?

The gubment knows about your registered firearms, I guess trying to prevent local theft is probably a concern. Please share you opinions on sharing your gun collection online.

Registered firearms? Do you live in a state other than MN?

I don't post pics of my firearms online. They are all mass produced except my .270 so their pics can be found on the manufacturers web pages.

So you say I shouldn't post pictures of the inside of my gun safe?

Participation on a gun forum kind of gives away your position photos or not. Life's too short to live as a secret squirrel like citizens of China, Nork or New York.

Why would I take pictures of the guns in my safe for anyone but an insurance agent? As with many things in life, if I need to prove anything by doing so I'm only pulling out enough to win.

as mentioned, in MN your guns are not registered but unless I'm showing off or selling why bother. Also as mentioned, just being on this type of site already says you have them, just not what or how many.

The Blue Hats will verify how many and what they are when they show up at your door to collect them. Better start digging a hole in your neighbors back yard..........................

I won't post the few guns I have, as a collection, but will occasionally post up a pic of one I particularly am fond of, are looking for help with or if it's relevant to a thread.

As far as theft goes, just being on the board I suppose makes you a gun theft target. Of course if I were a thief, I wouldn't target anyone that's active on this board. It shows that they are serious enough about firearms to have a good level of training, and some sort of secure firearm storage.

...and as far as the government cares... I'm sure they already know that most of the people on this board have some sort of a collection.

I post pictures of other people's guns. I don't want the people on this site to know that all I really have is a 10/22 and a Chinese made shotgun.

Is this why the black rifle gun porn thread is so sparse? :P

Old boy once told me, "If it's time to bury your guns, it's time to dig them up."
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.
