Was doing some random googling, and I ended up in an 1885 magazine with a fascinating article about Hiram Maxim.

Yeah, that whole magazine is fascinating. Lots of discussion of that crazy new incandescent lighting.

[Reading further:] Wow, I didn't know Maxim worked on incandescent light bulbs, too. And airplanes.

They also have pretty awesome photo layouts of the hottest models.

His son Hiram Percy Maxim was a pioneer of early amateur radio and broadcasting.
