It's been over a year since I applied to join the club. Haven't heard a word.
Anyone else had this problem?

It generally takes two years to get thru the waiting list. The membership is capped at 400 so next spring you should be getting a call.

The wait fluctuates. I have heard two years recently. Well worth the wait. $40 annually if you do your 5 hours of volunteer labor. 100yd rifle, 0 to 50 yard pistol/rim fire, trap leagues and BYO thrower clay range. It's run mostly by gun culture 1.0 good old boys but membership is gradually shifting to 2.0.

Is the Minnetonka sportsman club the same as the Minnetonka game and fish club? I see one is in St Francis and one is in Mound.

No, two different entities.

Minnetonka Sportsmen Inc. is just west of Mound on C. R. 15

Last newsletter said the wait list is 3 years.

I didn't renew my membership, so there should be one more slot in there.

I really like that place, but it was too far out of my way that I didn't feel the need to renew as I have membership at 2 other places.
