It may just be me because until today this site wouldn't allow me to post etc.

If pop ups are a common problem on armslist now, maybe the marketplace section will see an increase in traffic

Solution:

Install Chrome. Install the AddBlock Plus add-in. Done.

It happens all the time to me using my Android tablet! Seems like it is just some ads?

On a Droid phone? I don't have issues on anything else. I only get 1 second to view the site before I get sent to the app store. I'm trying ad blockers but can't find ad block plus

I noticed the same issue. I sent a message to Armslist Advertising saying how some advertisers are making their site unusable - perhaps if they hear from more people it might help.

In the meantime what's has worked well for me to stop the redirects is to stop loading the page once the list appears (before the side banner ads can load); needs to be done whenever a page is loaded/reloaded.

using Mozilla Firefox on android tablet and phone (PC too) and no issues at all.

wow, Never comment about something that was working right for you. Now mine are doing it too. Suspect something amiss as mine popped up with broken English sentences saying my phone has 13 viruses and click to remove. Of course it's a tablet not phone and has Kaspersky anti virus.

I had this problem also and am doing this as a test to see if I could post. I couldn't find a way to contact the admins.

I also had issues with google constantly giving me captchas due to unusual network traffic. I cleared the cache and ran a bunch of antimalware and adware removal programs. That didn't help. I cleared the cache and now all is back to normal.

I use chrome with AdBlock
