Nearest to metro public range - to shoot pumpkins?

I'm looking for an outdoor range open to the public near the metro area where I can shoot pumpkins or other reactive targets. My daughter and I usually shoot at Wealthwood Rod and Gun Club on the north shore of Mille Lacs this time of year and she really enjoys shooting pumpkins with pistols. Unfortunately she's now in college (St. Thomas) and time is much more precious. We just can't justify the 4 hours round trip to shoot.

Wealthwood is great. You can pretty much shoot any target you want as long as you clean up after yourself. Is there anything like them reasonably near the metro? I'm a dad who would love to spend some quality time with a daughter he misses!
