Mel's sport shop in spicer

Postby Bearcatrp on Thu Nov 05, 2015 9:31 pm

Anyone here of this sport shop? It's with the shell gas station. Stopped in my way through to pick up snacks and noticed the guns in back so checked them out. Boat load of Ammo, guns, powder, etc. picked up 2 boxes of cci 22 Ammo (500 each) for 50 bucks per box. Not terribly high. Currently has 10% off all guns. Almost walked out with a ruger charger I have been considering for awhile. Just thought I would ask. Thanks

I've been past that place several times and have always been in too much of a hurry or it's a day/time when I figure the gunshop part of the place wouldn't be open.

Should make a trip just to stop in. I've travelled farther for poorer reasons. Good to hear a positive review, makes it easier to talk myself into going.

His new stuff is usually pretty reasonable.... ammo and powder isnt bad for price, availability and selection. His used semi-collectable stuff is sky high $$$$. As a whole not bad place.

I priced online the ruger charger vs what he was selling. With his 10% off, he beat most online sales. Was going to stop back on my way back from Colorado but blew a tire from some ******* not picking up his parts that blew out from his blown tranny. Had to buy a new tire.

Haven't bought any firearms there, but have picked up ammo many times. They had .22lr when no one else did. Haven't been there in almost a year since my delivery route changed.

I get there every summer. One of the best places to pickup Trap loads for $60 a case. He usually carries both the Light and Heavy trap loads at the same price.
Good Judgement comes from Experience....Unfortunately a lot of that comes from Bad Judgement.
