Can't speak on pistols, but I have one mounted on a .22 rimfire AR upper. Bought it a couple years ago on a Black Friday deal ridiculously cheap. Can't say I've had any trouble with it.

If you're talking about a .22LR pistol, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you're talking about actually putting it on a semi-automatic 9mm or larger pistol, look for another optic. Pistol recoil is far more damaging than that of a rifle. Pistols are killing optics from every manufacturer, but the Trijicons are reported to be the most durable for pistol use. PA optics are Chinese contract optics and are not rated for pistols.

Directly from their website:

NOTE: PARRS02 is NOT rated for use on reciprocating handgun slides or shotguns.

If you're talking about their Micro Dot (Aimpoint Micro clone). I doubt it will stand up to the concussion of a pistol. The 1-year warranty basically brings that one into question real quick.

I have two micros. Somewhere. Fine for plinking type guns as has been mentioned.
The second one I bought had a slight issue when I went to change the battery and more than the battery fell out into my hands. Tried to be positive and thought...spare parts? Probably not. Sight won't turn on. Primary Arms didn't think so either and sent out a new sight. To be honest, I don't think I have them mounted to anything anymore.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.
