If you're talking about a .22LR pistol, it shouldn't be a problem.
If you're talking about actually putting it on a semi-automatic 9mm or larger pistol, look for another optic. Pistol recoil is far more damaging than that of a rifle. Pistols are killing optics from every manufacturer, but the Trijicons are reported to be the most durable for pistol use. PA optics are Chinese contract optics and are not rated for pistols.

If you're talking about their Micro Dot (Aimpoint Micro clone). I doubt it will stand up to the concussion of a pistol. The 1-year warranty basically brings that one into question real quick.
