Lemme see, apparently the relevant statute of limitations is only three years, so yeah, I was in this category occasionally, prior to the passage of the MCPPA. Just ahead of my time.

I used to carry more often than not, wearing 3x shirts so I wouldn't print.

Only now I've gained so much weight, I print in a 3x shirt.

They make 4x also - I'm not fat that's my gun!!! :o

I have 6XL coveralls you can wear, camo even.
Price is highly reasonable = come get them.

I love the pair I got from you!!!

The results are interesting, not exactly what I expected.

So those of you in the 76% + how do you handle work hours? Most all employers have a no firearm policy so what do you do?

The company I work for (large employer) quietly removed the no guns policy from the employee handbook after the Accent Signage incident.

My employer never had a no firearms policy until they got a state contract that required an insurance policy that mandated a no weapons clause, without an exception for permit holders.

I've been wondering how many employers that do ban guns do so at the insistence of their insurers.

And what we can do about it.

I'm retired, so no issues anymore with carrying on the job. I previously worked at a nuclear power plant and it wasn't until the last few years that having a firearm in the vehicle in the parking lot was finally permitted. Inside a building.....a great way to lose your job. I now live in the country.....and we have more than enough unwanted critters around the place that carrying is the norm.

I don't carry as often as I should. Have to expect the unexpected these days. Always carry going to the twin cities or unfamiliar places.

I work at a 2-year post-secondary education institution. While my employer cannot legally ban carry for the general public, they do have a strict "no weapons" policy for students and staff (don't tell them, but every day since I was hired almost 7 years ago, I've carried a knife of some sort - currently a CRKT Incendor).

Same here. Work for a college.. no carry. I do keep a snubby in the car. But if I have to travel for the day and use the state car... I leave the snubby at home.

Outside of that I carry pretty much everywhere.

85 votes so far... I didn't even know there were 85 unique monthly visitors to MNGT.

Personally I'm in one of the lower brackets... I want to carry more but I need more and better holsters; more and better conceal clothing (i.e. more shirts that don't come un-tucked every time I lift my arms a couple inches)... it's a whole ordeal with time and expenses.

My employer does allow lawful carry on company time and property so my only possible excuses revolve around being cheap and lazy.

The work limitations are the main barrier for me. Also, the little lock box I have doesn't fit under the seat of my 2014 F150. There is definitely a difference carrying in the summer.

In determining the need to carry a gun at any particular time, I weigh the inconvenience against the likelihood that I might need to defend my life or those around me with lethal force. I'm not restricted from carrying at the hospital where I work, but it's inconvenient to carry a gun while wearing scrubs, and the risk is extremely low. So I don't.

I work at a store where carry is required.
Open or concealed. :D
