So does anyone here have USEFUL input on the SNS Law or know anyone willing to pursue a challenge against it?

Personally, I would think a challenge would be warranted if they started to overreach on what is the accepted law.

Your comments about liquidus and melting point are meaningless until they start actually using it as a basis for banning polymer frame guns. Currently the law does not recognize your position via precedent so all they are banning is the sale of cheap junk that you tried to get in to the state and failed. For petes sake, hi points are legal here... while I personally think they are cheap pieces of junk, they are not a problem according to MN BCA.

Odds are any replacement legislation will be written to make the situation worse. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

IIRC, you have to have standing to sue to challenge a law. Based on what you have been posting, you feel you have standing. Why don't YOU pursue a challenge against it?

How has the OP been harmed by the law? That is what he has standing to challenge the law about.

He was not allowed to transfer some firearms prohibited by the law.

If he would like to challenge the law and get it amended to allow him to purchase that cheap crap then that is what he should be concerned with.

He has an argument that some firearms sold in MN would not be allowed if the law was scrutinized more closely. As it now is being applied and understood polymer firearms are allowed to be sold and transferred in MN.

Right now the only thing that is being infringed upon by the law is the OPs ability to transfer his piece of crap firearms into MN.

Are you just naturally a $h!t stirrer? Are you a troll and really a lefty masquerading as a 2A supporter? Are you that dense that you would jeopardize what we currently have just to raise a stink because you think you have some knowledge or info that makes you smarter than the rest of the class?

Sue to get your SNS crap or STFU.

Protection from lawsuits is built into the law. What it would cost an individual to challenge the law far exceeds the value of the crap that the law prevents one from obtaining.

Do you not understand the danger of having a law like this on the books? The entire concept of "well they aren't currently enforcing it, today..." is ridiculous. They can choose to enforce it any time they wish. THAT is the issue. Second to me not being able to buy my junk guns... lol

So upon thinking about it, yes, I am going to challenge this law. I will be writing the attorney general notifying them and proceed with the challenge. So if anyone has input on this please let me know.
