Armslist Down?

I went to check to see something on Armslist this morning and got the following message:

Due to political and financial pressure we are experiencing high traffic and higher than usual web hosting and legal costs.

We are trying to make necessary infrastructure improvements to deal with these.

Stay tuned, hopefully for good news.

If it was an April Fools joke that actually disrupted the business of their site it was a pretty stupid plan.

My understanding is they had to make some upgrades to their hardware, which necessitated taking the server/site down for a brief period. They posted the "notice" as an April Fools joke, and posted an explanation for the real reason the site was down when they came back up.

In short, they didn't take the site down as an April Fools joke.
