How to defend yourself in church

Postby raggers on Wed Dec 13, 2017 4:59 pm

The Star Tribune passes on this wisdom from the Washington Post under the headline "Training helps churches prepare for violent attacks"

Among other things, you can use one of "those little pencils in the back of each pew. . .to stab the gunman in the neck."

Yes, that would work.

I really don't think that is what Edward Bulwer-Lytton had in mind on that dark and stormy night.

Please, baptize them, give the 1st communion, and confirm them, you will never see them again.

A knucklehead in the comments says churches are gun free zones. Not any church I attend.

A lot are. I don't think my church has an established policy though.

In some states carry is prohibited in houses of worship.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Oh. Whew! If that's what it takes to keep people safe then it should be easy to implement. Glad this is an option.

The pencil idea is a good one. The other one I like is piss your pants and the bad guy will slip on the urine and hit his head or the old favorite grab the person next to you and use them as a human shield.............All very effective.

Just out of curiosity, was it the human shield part, or the urine part? :cogitating:

I'd assume YJ would implement a multi pronged approach.

It would be multi pronged, definitely.
