New gun law?

Postby samginko on Wed Dec 20, 2017 8:27 am

I was told recently that a new law has been passes in the state. Even private transactions require verifications of PTP/PTC.

I am sure this has been already discussed. Can someone provide me with the link?

Short Answer

Totally false. There is no such law.

Long Answer
Proposed in 2013 in the MN House, voted out of public safety committee to the house floor. Died there after the then-Speaker (Paul Thissen) pulled it due to threat to Iron Range DFL'ers. Has never come back in subsequent sessions.

It has been referenced a few time sporadically on MPR by Control advocates as a "Common Sense" solution - maybe because they want to revive the movement it represented.

You learn a lot about how the Liberal mindset works when you listen to their media. The psychology and methods are pretty consistent with most of their political agenda.

A buddy I heard from is very knowledgeable about firearm related issues. But, it was news to me. I know people on this forum are pretty up to date, that's why I asked.
