It was a joke, hence the little smiley.

Sorry, I forgot to include my smiley.

I had a boss who would not acknowledge that we had any problems or issues. If you went to him and said we had an issue or problem he would say "no, we have an opportunity".

PLEASE don't hide the your firearms log from your wife - especially what you paid for them. Or make it very easy to to discover in case you should pass on before she does.

I've helped many, many widows with no idea what their late husband had or what the firearms are worth. These people are often in a vulnerable situation and, unfortunately, easily taken advantage of if they don't have this information.

Consider adding a couple of columns to log, one with "Minimum Sell Price To Gun Store" and another "Price To Sell To A Friend Or Family Member". Keep it realistic and updated.

I’ve tried to keep up with a running inventory list, but some of the things that folks have been listing I never kept... like purchase place or price... or value. It’s a little late to recreate those now, I suppose.

I’ve tried to keep up to date the make, model, chambering, serial number and some basic crappy photos, mainly of the serial number for proof.

I’m not really into computer records or I’d have more data there... groups, preferred load data, etc. but I do keep track of any big game said gun killed.

I am done with my inventory project. I don't have as much info as some have suggested but it suits my needs. I found almost all the records I wanted to retrieve. Since I have a lot of time I may add some more data. Some sort of "value" is a good idea.

I agree. I should have put an "emoji" after that comment. :D
