Lack of input from Ladies

I can not help but notice the lack of threads in the powder room section of this forum. Are there so few Ladies, do they have that little interest in the board that they do not participate, or have we Men made this board so uninviting as to limit their interest?

In my case although my wife was an avid shooter, she has very little interest in talking about the subject. Her attitude was she selected the firearms and told me what kind of performance she wanted from the ammo (she only shoots targets) so her goals were accuracy and fairly light recoil.

OOPS I had a geezer moment. :doh:
I may have answered my own question. How do the other wives/girlfriends feel about this?

I agree. I doubt we will get an answer since there is a conspicuous lack of participation. We had some activity but,IMO, I doubt there is much to be offered here. Sites like The Cornered Cat are more geared to their issues without all the curmudgeon-ocity and BS.

There are very few actively posting members.

It might be instructive if the Mods can run a report to assess activity etc.

It's also easily possible that there are plenty of female members posting, but that they don't identify themselves to the forum as female. There are plenty of communities/cultures that are perceived as hostile to women. I'm not suggesting that this particular forum is hostile to women, but it wouldn't surprise me if some women simply pretend to be male in any area of the internet that is widely perceived to be male-centric in order to avoid being "treated like a girl." Firearms definitely lean that way, so...

I visit nearly every day, but don't post much.
Keeping an eye on you guys, though :cogitating:

Most of the women shooters that I know, don't have much if any activity on internet gun forums. Other things to do, I suppose.
Remember, gun control is not about guns, it's about control.

OK, OK me and Big Dog, Oldman, Larryflew, Xd, rodentman and any other volunteers - we will do a swimsuit calendar, that will bring in the ladies right? Maybe if we include a "barf bag" with each one! LOL
