Just a measly $7500 for a weekend to rent one of them. But one bucket of that machine is 22 yards too.

A D6 Caterpiller would run you $1660 delivered and picked up for a weekend. A 320 excavator would be about $2800 for a weekend.

I own some land and an old farm house out west in Stevens County. We would really like to put a rifle/pistol rang on that property, but really don't know where to start. Thanks for some of this information - good ideas.

NRA, MN DNR and the us army all have some pretty decent range designs available online if your Google Fu is good.

Anything I've looked a includes printing a Google map out to PDF format and then putting a range safety fan on it. CAD software is nice for that.

The pond had constantly flowing water through it, we also ran an aerator. Had to do something to keep the large mouth, hybrid stripers, bluegill, crappie, catfish and walleye alive. Also helps keep the moss and algae down in the summer.

You got that wrong I just got of the phone with them, we are planning on using them for our range. The mil10 is 7.5 ft tall and 10 ft long come in a connected string to complete a 100 ft and cost $4700 plus shipping. The mil 3 which is 3x3 ft is $675.

Donn, either of those would be ridiculously expensive on my intended scale.

Since I already have the tractor, I'll be starting with stump removal and then going from there. I started digging my pond with the tractor, but got down into the water table and was unable to extract a full 3/4yd bucket full without sinking the front axle. That's when I rented the mini-ex and got to work.
