Why is it disturbing - it has been there for years and indicates DNR Firearms Safety Certification.

DNR Firearms Safety Certification is required of anyone born after December 31, 1979 to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota. The MN DNR Firearms Safety Hunter Education endorsement can be listed on the back of a Minnesota driver's license or identification card upon request.

What is positive is the you can now check and verify Veterans status on your license,
thus not requiring carrying or providing a 214 copy as proof of service................. :salute:

Disturbing because of how the question is written with no mention of what it really is. Remember 50% of people eppear as dumb as stones.

Is it a question for the applicant? It looks like "For office use only"

It's for Firearm Safety. It's been on the back of my license since the late 90's

For office use only is correct and being snowbird you don't talk to anyone so all would be blank.

If the OP is making a joke I don't get it. If truly questioning why 'Snowmobile' is on a DL renewal form it's an easy answer:

Your MN DL can have printed on it a confirmation your non-driving-related state-issued certifications. So it can indicate whether you have passed your MN snowmobile safety course certificate and if you completed DNR hunter training. That box is their way of adding the snowmobile safety info to your upcoming license.

As a piece of side trivia, not everyone must have the snowmobile safety certificate to legally operate a snowmobile. If you were born on or before 12/31/1976 you are exempt from needing it.

He is trying to point to Firearm

If I understand the point LarryFlew was trying to make, I think the arrow wasn't intended to point to snowmobile but rather FIREARM. I think the original concern has been resolved, because it's been pointed out that it's for the DNR firearm hunting safety course.

Both my snowmobile and firearm safety courses were printed on paper and there's no online record of them, that I know of - that's how old they are. Still have them, too. I'm exempt anyway, and have never had these on my drivers license.
