Opposition to Anytown -Moms Demand Action - Nextdoor app

I'm pisssed off because i just saw a sign up post on the Nextdoor app for a fund raiser and organizational meetfor a local Mom's Demand Action group.

I am trying to get it pulles down and getting ready for the nastiness to follow. What resources are available to fight this type of assault. I'd love to post an invitation to an NRA rally or membership drive . I just hate that they are so.openly antagonistic.

Their strategy has been to pull people into their "grassroots" for awhile...to the point they have a whole "Neighborhood Introduction" structure set up to financially support these type of meetings.

Organize a trip to a range, Intro to Firearms, or Carry class and post that. No one should oppose Firearm safety, right?

Are there any upcoming rallies I can promote? Can GOCRA send me a press kit that I can use to put up as counter balance to the hate gun crowd?

Just curious, what would be the basis for getting it pulled down? Does it violate nextdoor’s rules? I don’t know enough about the Nextdoor app to know.

No your right, just because I'm pissed, doesn't mean it can't be there. My original thought was that this would begin to politicize a "neutral" community meeting area. I have a pretty visceral objection to the open recruiting, knowing what I know about the organization and my polar opposite views. I think in many ways, these Anti 2nd Amendment movements are better at organizing at the grass roots than the Pro 2nd Amendment groups and I am not happy about that.

I've changed my thought to trying to counter program with either an NRA sign up add or GOCRA or something similar. I just don't have the resources to put it together. What I'm hoping is someone has access to the content I need to post and can get it to me to post. I am quite sure it will be met with incivility and rancor. I am willing to a "lightening rod" of sorts to put forth the ideas - see what happens.

Gun nuts are logic based, the nuts are emotional. To counteract them you have to emotionally change them. That is a very tall task, good luck.

Lead a gun rights discussion in your county library's meeting room. They're free to county residents.

Have a small list of topics, etc....we did it in West Saint Paul earlier this month...could have used a few more gun rights people...but it went well, and we're scheduling one for late July, early August again.

I like the idea but:
- I'm not much of a public speaker
- I don't know that I'm learned enough/expert enough to do a good job

I could set it up and promote it, maybe even contribute to it, but not sure I have the confidence to be the solo "talent".

Yeah, go to their meetings and tell them how an AR-47 walked into your kitchen and murdered your family. It left you to tell the story and work towards a ban.

That’s silly, it had a silencer on it so it did not make any sound.
