Yes, they are. I've purchased from other auctions they've had in the past. They're actually located out in Maple Plain, so a local company.

Thanks. With those low bids it almost looked to me like one of those penny auction sites.

They do have a LOT of bidders so you need to be careful of final bids being higher than you think. Due diligence is required for ANY auction for that matter.

Oh, there's a LOOOOOONG time until the auction ends and the prices will get right up there to almost retail in the last day or two before it closes. If it's one thing I've learned about local auctions like this (via k-bid or auctionmasters.com) they tend to fetch prices just a bit under going 'best price' retail pricing for like-new items. You can get better deals on well-used stuff or oddball things like trees but hard goods seldom are spectacular deals.

Remember to consider buyer's premium costs, credit card surcharges and the very limited pickup time and arrangements before bidding.

Inspected a couple S&W revolvers years ago prior to bidding. Glad I did as condition was significantly below as described.

Further, buried in the T&C page:

Buyer’s Premium – Personal Property
For lots with a hammer price up to $4,999.99 the Buyer's Premium is 13% which is retained by K-BID and distributed at its discretion. For lots with a hammer price $5,000.00 and over, the Buyer's Premium is 10% which is retained by K-BID and distributed at its discretion. For any lot posted after March 4, 2018 the Buyer's Premium is capped at a max of $1,000.00 (per item). The sales price of a lot is equal to the winning bid + the buyer’s premium. The buyer’s premium is subject to sales taxes.

Good luck,
Mark

Turns out that some people got some great deals on the bigger safes on this auction. I'm surprised.

Pretty typical auction IMO. I have purchased stuff through them for resale on occasion when the price was right and on the other hand have had to pass on items that went over retail. Could have used one of the bigger ones but then would have to spend $$ to get it to my basement and get my 42 out of the basement so not worth it for me.
