Why would that happen?
Do delays ever get cleared up on Sundays?
Thanks for any insight

Yeah it takes the state 4 months to put some data together onto a piece of plastic. Our tax $ at work.

If I remember correctly NCIS is run by the FBI. Think about the s_ _ t storm the FBI is running in. I’m thinking that the CYA is taking up a bit of their time and resources. Also consider that our permit to carry no longer passes the sniff test to bypass the NCIS check. There may be other states that have had this go away and has added an extra NCIS work load.

Purchased my RPR 338 Friday. NCIS took less than 5 minutes to go through. He did it electronically.

If it’s done electronically, is there still a human on the other side looking at it, or is it automatic?

This is the first time I've had one done electronically. All the others were on the paper form and called in.

I was going to suggest his wife got ahold of the NCIS and told them to delay his purchases to prevent impulse purchases. That is what I fear my wife will do to me! A deny would be too obvious and lead to investigation. A delay might lead to reconsideration and possible change of mind.
